Overslation is the name that I have given to the art of my services. I deliver professional and accurate translating, interpretating, proofreading and editing services at competitive prices.


Translation


General translations will always be the easiest, quickest and cheapest type of translations. However, I offer translation in almost any area. I have experience in medical, business, advertisement, electronics, customer support, governmental and a wide range of other translation subjects. 

 

Rates

 

The base price for translations into either target starts at .08 USD/word. Generally, I do not accept projects for a lower price than that, however I do offer special prices for oversized projects or continuous collaboration. The rate per word can also be higher than the base price if the source text is overly technical, short noticed or is characterized by any other type of major complication.

 

I also offer TRADOS discounts for proofreading and editing:

INTERPRETATION 

 

Consecutive Interpreting

For all intents and purposes of my services, the definition of Consecutive Interpreting is the act of interpreting from both languages into both languages for two parties who do not understand both languages. The total cost of consecutive interpreting is calculated through the following:

 

  • $360.00 travel expense and convenience fee for Virginia or any bordering State. This means that $360.00 only applies to Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia and Maryland. 

       Assignments in Washington, D.C have a standard t&c fee of $460.00

       Assignments in Southwestern Virginia have a standard t&c fee of $160.00

 

  •  Daily fee of $200. This fee remains the same in all eastern U.S states and is not influenced by the actual amount of hours spent interpreting in one day. The only exception to this rule is if the interpretation session runs past 6:30 PM or lasts over 9 hours. In this case, an extra 50 dollars per hour will be charged.

 

 

Simultaneous Interpreting

For all intents and purposes of my services, the definition of Simultaneous Interpreting is the act of interpreting into one languages for a group of people who do not understand the language being spoken. The total cost of simultaneous interpreting is calculated through the following:

 

  • $360.00 travel expense and convenience fee for Virginia or any bordering State. This means that $360.00 only applies to Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia and Maryland. 

       Assignments in Washington, D.C have a standard t&c fee of $460.00

       Assignments in South Western Virginia have a standard t&c fee of $160.00
 

 

  •  Daily fee of $125.00. This fee remains the same in all eastern U.S states and is not influenced by the actual amount of hours spent interpreting in one day. The only exception to this rule is if the interpretation session runs past 6:30 PM or lasts for more than 9 hours. In this case, an extra 50 dollars per hour will be applied.

 

 

 

Telephone Interpreting

 
Telephone interpreting is the act of interpreting between two parties who do not share a common language. The cost of telephone interpretation is calculated through a number of factors:

 

 

 If you connect the call between yourself, your counterpart and myself, the rate will be calculated as follows:

 

  •  A  connection fee of 6 dollars

  • A charge of .50 USD/minute. No time minimum. Minutes rounded up. For example: A 22.16 minute interpretation call will be charged at the rate of 23 minutes.

   
       A charge of .75 USD/minute between the hours of 11 PM and 7 AM EST. Minutes rounded up.


  • A 4 dollar termination fee.

 

 

If I three-way connect between all parties, the rate will be calculated as follows:

 

  • A  connection fee of 10 dollars

  • A charge of .50 USD/minute. No time minimum. Minutes rounded up. For example: A 22.16 minute interpretation call will be charged at the rate of 23 minutes.

   
       A charge of .75 USD/minute between the hours of 11 PM and 7 AM EST. Minutes rounded up.


  • A 5 dollar termination fee.


 
I offer telephone interpreting at a cheap rate since it is a very convenient form of interpretation and does not require much of me. However, I do not work on any other project while I am connected to a client, therefore I feel obligated to charge the connection and termination fee in respect to my valuable time. Other services have a higher payrate and I am therefore losing money while I interpret over the phone.

I reserve the right to enforce a thirty minute break if the session lasts for over 2 hours.

 

 

 

Modified Telephone Intepreting

 Modified telephone interpreting (MDF) is a unique service that I offer. MDF is the perfect option if you have received a business letter than you do not understand or a report that is not in your language and you simply need to understand what it says Modified telephone interpreting (MDF) is the act of interpreting a written document over the phone into another language to 1-25 people. The rate and conditions of an MDF session(s) are as follows:

 

  •  2/3 of a standard translation quote.
  • $25.00/session. And MDF session lasts for three hours. Two consecutive sessions with a thirty minute break is acceptable. A 24 hour intermission every six hour will be applied.
